Like business trips usually go, there wasn't enough time for exploring. But I tried to make the most of it, even if that meant taking photos from the car (or from my van chair, as Tyler calls it) or walking down Bourbon Street after a 10-hour day on my feet.
Even though it felt like we spent most of our time in the rental van, that's OK. This where Tyler learned I can do a spot-on impression of James Blunt and where I learned he's a boss at long-distance driving. I guess road trips are where our talents really shine...
Also, the following conversation from last night sums up our trip perfectly:
Me: What was your favorite moment of New Orleans?
Tyler: Watching Netflix in bed. [True, but sad]
Me: Come on.
Tyler: OK, well definitely not our first dinner there. [Mediocre and overpriced]
Tyler: My favorite moment was probably eating at that little cafe on Valentine's Day ... and sitting in my van chair. [We fell in love this weekend, but not with each other. With a roomy, high-speed van.]
