For this roll, I focused a lot on portraits and experimenting with different light sources. I'm in love with each result, but I'm starting to think that all my images are portraits. Let me explain.
For me, portraits are intimate and involve trust and love between the subject and me. Whether I'm shooting a face, a cup of coffee or a landscape, I subconsciously take this "portrait mentality" with me. I take photos of what I love, things that carry with them more memories than could ever fit in an 8-by-10.
This time around, it's Tyler's piercing eyes and warm heart. Amelia's sleepy, shy frown. Caleb's, well, Caleb faces. His sweet and simple summer day. The faces of four generations of strong, beautiful women. One of my best friends in the town that keeps our favorite stories and funniest jokes. And yes, a cup of coffee.
